Maybe this weekend. But don't get your hopes up - I'm currently very
busy with another project...

That's OK!

But I was asking a bit earlier in the thread in a hopefully friendly manner.
If not my apologize.

So for all non ASAP people: could you please rethink about releasing a
1.5.7?

Thanks
George

This thread is about "copy to..." creating bogus dirs.

If you get an error, provide details.

ASAP? --> DIY!

Here's the code:

Sorry, but I get a somewhat allergic reaction to "ASAP"...

Message Confirming this bug. For me, any time I use "Copy to..", I get a
"File already exists" error, even though the destination does not
exist. I get this error no matter what.. it is 100% absolutely a
client side bug.

I too hope this is fixed ASAP and a 1.5.7 version is released, as we
depend on this functionality at our job and for the time being, we
have to do an export/import as a workaround.

Would you mind to exceptionally release a 1.5.7, please?

1.5.5 is not an option because of the changed svn:mergeinfo behavior on
move/rename. And neither 1.6 because we are still in progress switching from
1.4 to 1.5. But the "Copy to" is a frequently used feature in our company.

Thanks in advance

It's fixed on trunk, but not merged back to the 1.5.x branch.
I'm not sure if there actually will be a 1.5.7 release since version 1.6
is not too far away anymore.

Message Hi,

I just wanted to confirm if this issue is recognized as a bug.
It happens in 1.5.5 but not in 1.5.6
(I didn't see reference to it in trunk change log for 1.5.7)

Thanks,
Golan

Hi,

I saw some threads about "Copy to" bug in Tortoise 1.5.6 with diff descriptions.
Here is what i see:

If i use "copy to" from repo browser to copy Trunk to \branches\b_name all works well.
But if i copy \branches\b_name to \branches\b_name2 i get \branches\b_name2\b_name2
and the last b_name2 is an empty folder.

This copy works fine if i do it in 2 alternative methods:

1. Drag and drop with rename
2. Create branch from show log

Thanks,
Golan

Message I can verify this - I'm pretty sure this started happening in 1.5.6 or one of the latest releases.

To reproduce:
In the repo browser, copy /wa/branches/branch-1.15 to /wa/branches/branch-1.15-32.3 (using "Copy To...").
Note that instead of creating /wa/branches/branch-1.15-32.3 as an add-with-history, it creates /wa/branches/branch-1.15-32.3/branch-1.15-32.3 as an empty folder.

Thanks,
